AutoText

AutoText feature keeps a list of frequently used text. You can enter stored text by entering a predefined abbreviation. AutoText offers a convenient way of entering long or complex words.

AutoText Submenu

AutoText submenu provides AutoText by default. When you select each menu, the following information will be entered.

Menu Feature
Last Saved on Insert as text the date last saved at the location of cursor.
Last Saved on is retrieved from Statisticstab > Created on in File > Info.
Last Saved by Insert as text the name of the person who last saved the file.
Last Saved by is retrieved from the name entered in General > User Name in File > Options.
Last Printed on Insert as text the date of the last print at the location of cursor.
Creation Date Insert as code the Creation Dateat the location of cursor as code.
Creation Date is retrieved from Insert > Date/Time.
Author Insert as text the author at the location of cursor.
Author is retrieved from General > User Name in File > Options.
Author, Sheet Name, Creation Date Insert as text the author, current page, and creation date at the location of cursor.
Document Title Insert as text the user entered document title at the location of cursor.
If a document title is typed in Summary Information > Subject of File > Info, it gets inserted in the body text.
Document Subject Insert as text the user entered document subject at the location of cursor.
If a document title is typed in Summary Information > Subject of File > Info, it gets inserted in the body text.
Document Description Insert as text the user entered document description at the location of cursor.
If a document title is typed in Summary Information > Subject of File > Info, it gets inserted in the body text.
Document Keyword Insert as text the user entered document keyword at the location of cursor.
If a document title is typed in Summary Information > Subject of File > Info, it gets inserted in the body text.
File Name and Path Insert as code the file name and path at the location of cursor.
If you save the document file in another folder or path, it will be displayed as the changed folder or path.
File Name Insert as code the file name of the active document at the location of cursor.

AutoText

You can only add text to the current AutoText. You can enter new AutoText or edit existing ones by using the AutoText dialog box.

Feel Free to Write

Summary is intended to be a description of the content of the document or a record of tips or cautions on editing the document, which would be helpful to other people, or to the user at a later date.
Do not feel constrained by words like Subject or Keyword freely write about things like Author, Entered by, Edited by, Abstract, and Caution as you see fit.
