Animation Task Pane

Adding animation effects to objects can help you to highlight important parts or create a graphical presentation.

In addition to transition effects, animation effects control the flow of presentations and attract audiences with dynamic effects.

Animation effect types

Entrance, Emphasis, Exit, and Motion Paths animation effects are provided to apply various animation effects.

Text animation effects

The text animation effect is enabled only when a text box is selected, not a normal shape.

Text animation effects that can only be applied to objects with letters are as follows:

Effects Text Animation Types
Entrance
  • Subtle effects: Faded swivel
  • Moderate effects: Color typewriter, Upfold
  • Exciting effects: Sliding, Flip, Whip
Emphasis
  • Basic effects: Change font, Change font color, Change font style, Change font size
  • Subtle effects: Bold flash, Underline, Color wave, Brush color
  • Moderate effects: Grow with color, Embossing
  • Exciting effects: Bold reveal, Wave, Style emphasis
Exit
  • Subtle effects: Faded swivel
  • Moderate effects: Color typewriter, Upfold
  • Exciting effects: Sliding, Flip, Whip

When you apply an animation effect to an object, an effect icon () is applied on the slide.

The effect icon can be found in the Slide tab of the view tab area in the main view, or in the slide thumbnail of the slide sorter view screen.

Caution

Compatibility with animation effects in PowerPoint

Animation effects in Show are compatible with Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 or later version. That is, it is not compatible with the animation effects in Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 or previous version.
