Custom Slide Show

Create a new slide show by grouping the slides in the current presentation document.

Steps

To customize slide show

  1. Run Slide Show > Custom Slide Show.
    Or click Custom Slide Show, and then select Custom Slide Show on the Slide Show tab.

  2. When the Custom Slide Show dialog box appears, click the New button ().
  3. When the Create Show dialog box appears, enter a name for the slide show in the Slide show name field.
  4. In the Slides in presentation list, select the slides you want to use for the show and click the Add to List button ().
  5. When the slides are added to the Slides in custom slide show list, select the slides you want to use for the show in the same way.
  6. Use the ordering icons to determine the order of the slide show and click OK.
  7. The name of the custom slide show appears under the Custom slide show list in the Custom Slide Show dialog box.
  8. Select a customized slide show from the Custom slide show list and click View Show.
  9. The slide show runs in the order of customized show.

Custom slide show

A list of slide show names for the custom slide show is listed in order.

Note that you can also click the Custom Slide Show icon in the Slide Show tab to check a list of the names of the customized shows.

Details on icons

Icon Name Description
New Create a new slide show group. Run the Create Show dialog box to customize the show and create a new slide show.
Edit Edit the selected slide show group in the Custom Slide Show list.
Duplicate Duplicate the group of slide show selected in the Custom Slide Show list. An additional slide show group with the same content is created.
Delete Delete the selected slide show group from the Custom Slide Show list.

View and return

If you select this item, clicking the hyperlinked objects will move to that position and then return to the current position.

Enabled only when there is a customized show created with Custom Slide Show.

Slide show name

Specify the name of the custom slide show.

Slides in presentation

All slides in the current presentation document are listed. The title portion of each slide appears so you can see where that slide is.

You can use the icons to add or delete slides in your presentation for use in the show.

Icon Name Description
Add to List Select the slides you want to use for the show in the Slides in presentation list and click this icon to add the selected slides to the Slides in custom slide show list.
Delete from List Select the slides you want to remove in the Slides in custom slide show list and click this icon to delete the selected slides from the list.

A list of slides to use in your slide show.

Use the ordering icons to change the order of the slides listed.

Icon Name Description
Move to Top Move the selected slide in the Slides in custom slide show list to the top.
Move One Line Up Move the selected slide in the Slides in custom slide show list to one level up.
Move One Line Down Move the selected slide in the Slides in custom slide show list to one level down.
Move to Bottom Move the selected slide in the Slides in custom slide show list to the bottom.
